The Whole Earth Catalog website

1.0
Details
To the people of the Whole Earth Catalog, The other day I was assigned to look at the 1968 edition of the Whole Earth Catalog and determine what 3 items would I use in the case of a comet strike. This assignment was for my Freshmen Year Seminar class where we are reading the novel Lucifer’s Hammer. This was supposed to give us a scenario where we only had 3 choices and to get us thinking about what we were doing in class. But when I searched your website I was surprised to realized that your site was not allowing me access. I looked through your page and nowhere was there a way to access the 1968 catalog. I soon found that you had to pay for this entire article to read it. Needless to say I was disappointed. I luckily did not pay your ridiculous fee of $4.99 but, some of my classmates did and still your site did not show the article. Not only should you fully reimburse everyone who pays for your services but also you should inform people that your site is down or take down your website to avoid from confusion. This is fraud, by you keeping your site and unusable you are essentially steeling from ignorant people. The rest of my classmates and I will not only be contacting you, but we will also be contacting the FTC and filing a compliant. We will be doing this with the intent of them doing an investigation into whether or not there is actually a Whole Earth Catalog website. If there is not they will be suing whomever the creator of that domain is. And I would hope that they would sue the Company of Whole Earth for fraud. Hopefully seeing these letters will motivate you to reimburse everyone who you have not given your service to. Sincerely, Tom Jenkins
